Career
When I was seven years old I started to ride motocross. I rode some small races each year and there were a couple of training camps each year too.
During my time at 80cc, 2002-2005, I competed more and I developed and got better all the time. My best year of 80cc was in 2005. Then I placed myself as 11:th in a big competition against many boys. I rode another competition with a class for just girls. There were three races where I won all the motos. Later that year I won a big competition at home. In that competition the 80cc rode on Saturday and the big bikes on Sunday. I had tried my big brother's 125cc a few times during the year and decided to set up on Sunday too where I once again won. In a competition whit six different clubs where it was mixed girls and boys I placed myself as 12:th, among 50-60 riders. In a three hours team competition, me and some other girls from my club became the best team of girls.
2006 I decided to go up to 125cc. I rode for the first time the Swedish championship in the class MX Girls. My goal was to place me in top ten overall. I almost succeeded by becoming 11:th. During the year I also rode some other small races.
2007 I started with three weeks of training in Spain. In the spring I trained two weeks in Holland /Belgium. In the Swedish championship I was 8:th, which was my goal of the season. In the middle of this season I started to ride the KTM 250cc four stroke with an electric start.
2008 again began with three weeks of training in Spain and continued by two weeks in Holland /Belgium in the spring. I took another step in the Swedish championship where I was 5:th. The biggest thing for me that happened during the year was that I got the chance to try out for the world championship. My first race was in Teutschenthal, Germany, where I crashed in the first moto but in the second I came in 13:th place. The second race that I rode was in Lierop, Holland, and I was 13:th overall. I rode two of the seven races in the world championship that year and I became 22:nd overall. I also rode a few small races, and I won some of them.
2009 I rode my first World championship season. My goal was to place me as a top ten, but the competition was tough and I finished 17:th overall. My best race was at home in Uddevalla where I was 11:th overall. In the Swedish championship I picked my first medal by becoming third.
2010 was my second year at the World championship. Again, the goal was top ten, but it was hard and I became 13:th overall. I did my best race in the Italian Fermo where I in the first moto was in 5:th place. In the Swedish championship I was second, the goal was to win so unfortunately I didn't reach any of my goals for this year, but I was still happy with my performance. I rode a funny competition where I rode in the MX2 class and the womens class. In the womens class I won and in MX2 I was 6:th. I ended the year with riding the last round in the Dutch championship where I was third in the first moto, but crashed in the second and became 6:th overall.
2011 I started with six weeks of training international. I was three weeks in Italy and three weeks in Holland/ Belgium. It was a very successful year for me in the World championship when I was 5:th overall. My best race was in Slovakia, where I was 4:th overall. In the Swedish championship it was difficult for me to perform, I had so much pressure on myself and I wanted to win so bad. I was going wrong with my mind and my confidence was often down to the bottom. Of the 11 motos that we rode, I was just really happy with one. In the other motos I rode very stressful. I still managed to take two moto wins, which was fun. Overall, I was second in the championship and it's not that bad becouse I had a pretty tough season. During this year, I learned just how important the mental part is in motocross. I rode four races in the Dutch championship and my best result was in Halle where I became 4:th overall. In the fall, I went to the U.S. to try out for two races in the AMA US Nationals. The girls there were fast and tough but it was fun to ride there. The tracks were different from home but I really liked it. The tracks were big and fast and it was alot of jumps which I like.
2012 will be an exciting year for me. I will be staying in the U.S. and do the American championships. Since the resistance is so good, I see this as a good chance to davelop as a rider and take a step closer to the top. In early December 2011 I move close to LA where I will stay during my stay. The team I will ride for, KTM Munn Racing, are based in Texas. I am really looking forward to the season of 2012!.
