My name is Sara Pettersson and my biggest passion in life is motocross. The interest for the sport started early because of my older brother and when I was seven I got my first motorcycle, a Yamaha PW 80. In the beginning I was riding just for fun, nothing serious, I just rode when I wanted to. I also played football when I was younger, in a team from Kumla. We were a successful team that won almost everything. My best qualities on the field was that I was fast and I had good shape. I'm usually played as a forward.

Somewhere between the age of 14-15 I decided to give up the football to concentrate on the motocross. It was too much with two sports and the choice was nothing to think about, motocross had always been the favorite sport for me.

During my time in high school, 2007-2010, I chose to study nature with sports specialization, which gave me the opportunity to practice motocross at school. In addition to my own time to train motocross, I got a lot of knowledge about training, nutrition and psychology, which has been inportant for my investment in motocross. After my three years at the Rudbeck school in Örebro, I started in a sport class on the University in Örebro. The class gave me much knowledge that's good for me in the motocross and in life. Since spring 2011, I just ride motocross. I would never be able to do it if it wasn't for my wonderful parents and my sponsors.

When I'm not riding motocross, I like to hang out with my friends. In the summer when I have some extra time I like to do some jetski and in the winter I think it's fun to go snowboarding. I also have a big interest in training. It's fun to practice and I feel good doing it. Running is my favorite workout aside from motocross. After a good run I feel great and I think it's exciting and interesting that after the run connecting my heart rate clock to the computer and check my values. Rowing machine, cross trainer, bike, and swimming are other forms of cardio work out I usually exercise. I also train strength and sometimes I go to different workouts at the gym as body pump, body combat, spinning and yoga.
